Third Coast Swing ft. Dave Bennett

Third Coast Swing channels the spirit of Django Reinhardt and the Hot Club Of Paris with a twist, touring with Detroit native Dave Bennett on clarinet, along with Grant Flick on violin, Ella Jury Jarvis singing, and Andrew Henley on piano. Ella and guitarist Kaedin Plummer reworked early jazz classics by Fitzgerald, Vaughan, and Holiday to fit their eclectic sound. Bennett’s clarinet playing blends purity with power, giving the music vibrant life, as praised by Downbeat magazine. The band played two sets at 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. at Ann Arbor’s Blue LLama Jazz Club.
