DOUBLE TAKE Exhibit
S.A. Habib's paintings and Fred Niles's photographs were on display from September 12 to October 26 at the Ramsdell Theatre in Manistee. The exhibit showcased the shared aesthetic developed by the longtime friends capturing similar moments in their art.
S.A. Habib and Fred Niles have been friends for over 30 years, bonded through an annual golf trip with their friends Paul Sandman and Vernon Moore for 37 consecutive years. Both work in visual fields—Habib in advertising and Niles as a graphic design professor—sharing a common artistic vision. This exhibition featured Habib's paintings alongside Niles's photographs that often documented the same or very similar scenes during their travels. Some pieces also showed Habib interrupting Niles's photography with his paintings, creating a unique visual conversation.
