Opening Reception for “DOUBBLE TAKE” Exhibit
S.A. Habib’s paintings and Fred Niles’s photos shared the spotlight on Friday, September 12, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Ramsdell Theatre in Manistee, showcasing their 30-plus years of friendship through a joint exhibit titled DOUBBLE TAKE.
S.A. Habib and Fred Niles have been friends for over three decades, bonded by an annual golf trip that’s going strong for 37 years. Habib has a background in advertising design, and Niles is a graphic design professor. Their exhibit reveals how they capture the same or very similar scenes during their travels, blending their artistic visions. Some pieces even feature Habib’s paintings interrupting Niles’s photographs, creating a unique dialogue between the two mediums. The exhibit was held at the Ramsdell Theatre in Manistee.
