Annie is the story of a spirited orphan in 1930s New York City who finds a new family while outsmarting the wicked Miss Hannigan, making friends with President Roosevelt, and bonding with a lovable dog named Sandy. This Tony Award-winning musical features classic songs like “It’s the Hard Knock Life” and the optimistic anthem “Tomorrow.” To audition, people were invited to enter through the side door on 1st Street, head upstairs, and find the theater. All interested were encouraged to come and try out.
