Casey James concert in Cheboygan

Casey James rose to national fame as the third-place finalist on American Idol and has since developed a career in country, blues, and rock music. Initially signing with a major label, he encountered creative limitations which led him to pursue a more unrestricted artistic path. His 2017 album 'Strip It Down' introduced his blues project to a wider audience, receiving acclaim. The 2020 follow-up 'If You Don’t Know By Now' further deepened his commitment to the genre. James tours regularly both solo and with his side project Texas Hill, whose 2022 album 'Heaven Down Here' blends soul, R&B, southern rock, and blues influences. In 2024, he is preparing an acoustic project marking the next phase of his artistic evolution. His performance at The Lark Theater in Cheboygan offers fans a mix of familiar and new material.
