Kimmie Horne at Dirty Dog Jazz Cafe
Kimmie Horne, descendant of the legendary Lena Horne and an exceptional jazz singer, performed on Friday, May 2, 2025, at 6 p.m. at Dirty Dog Jazz Cafe in Grosse Pointe Farms. The show featured a mix of jazz classics, blues, and dynamic rhythms.
Kimmie Horne, a native Detroiter and niece of singer-songwriter Cleveland Horne of the Fantastic Four, blessed the stage with her warm, sultry voice and sophisticated jazz style. Accompanied by a talented band, she took the audience through new tunes and jazz standards. The May 2nd gig was part of her birthday weekend celebration and a lead-up to the 10th anniversary of her award-winning Kimmie Horne Jazz Festival, creating a special night for jazz fans in Grosse Pointe Farms.
