Misty Lyn & The Big Beautiful
Folk artist Misty Lyn Bergeron played with her band The Big Beautiful at The Ark in Ann Arbor on Friday, February 17, at 8 p.m., featuring songs from their new album “Narrows.”
Misty Lyn Bergeron has been a key figure in Michigan’s folk scene for over a decade, crafting haunting melodies that blend gothic and literary aspects of American roots music. Her songs explore themes like death, loss, heartache, and healing, with a shift towards love and hope following a serious car accident in 2015. The Big Beautiful includes Matt Jones on drums, Ryan Gimpert on guitar and pedal steel, Carol Catherine Gray on fiddle, vocals, and tambourine, and Jim Roll on bass. They brought their new release “Narrows” to The Ark in Ann Arbor for this show.
