Gerard Gibbs at the Dirty Dog Jazz Cafe

Gerard Gibbs fell in love with jazz organ at a young age, inspired by Richard “Groove” Holmes. Raised in Detroit, he trained in classical piano but gravitated towards jazz, learning tricks from mentors like Jimmy Smith and jamming with legends including Charles Earland. These experiences shaped his versatile style. Currently, he tours nationally and leads local bands like Gerard Gibbs & ORGANized Crime. His December 11 show at the Dirty Dog Jazz Cafe brought his rich organ jazz sound to Detroit-area fans.
