Isis Damil concert at Blue LLama Jazz Club in Ann Arbor

Isis Damil is a Detroit-native singer-songwriter whose artistry exists at the crossroads of soul, spirituality, and self-definition. Anchored by her fiery mezzo-soprano voice and jazzy R&B textures, her music explores themes of love, intuition, and feminine power with both tenderness and authority. Each song reflects her evolution as both an artist and a woman deeply connected to her inner self.

On stage, Isis is commanding and magnetic, turning performance into ritual. Inspired by artists like Tina Turner, Chaka Khan, and Prince, she creates music that encourages women to unleash their inner spirit animals, trust their instincts, and redefine femininity on their own terms. Her presence is immersive, delivery fearless, and artistry distinctly her own.

Raised in a musical family, Isis began singing professionally in 2012 at Detroit’s legendary Baker’s Keyboard Lounge. Since then, she has shared stages with prominent artists such as Macy Gray, Darren Criss, and Brian McKnight and performed at notable venues and festivals including the Detroit Jazz Festival and the Detroit Institute of Arts. Beyond music, her work extends into screen and storytelling, with appearances in national commercials and theatrical productions. She holds a Communications degree from the University of Detroit Mercy.
