Tyreek McDole

Tyreek McDole, a Haitian-American singer from Central Florida, has earned international acclaim for his rich baritone voice and reflective artistic approach. He views music as a high form of communication and creates performances that foster healing, reflection, and shared imagination.

He gained national attention by winning the Outstanding Vocalist Award at the 2018 Essentially Ellington Competition and secured first place at the prestigious 2023 Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition, becoming only the second male winner in the event's history. McDole has performed with notable artists such as Jeff Goldblum, Rodney Whitaker, and Nicholas Payton and appeared at major venues and festivals worldwide.

A graduate of the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, McDole studied under masters like Gary Bartz and Sullivan Fortner, grounding his sound in Black American Music traditions while innovating its language. His debut album, Open Up Your Senses, mixes original works with spirituals and songs addressing justice, unity, and ancestral memory, earning critical acclaim and significant chart success.
