Judy Banker Band
Americana and alt-country artist Judy Banker played a birthday concert with her all-star band on Saturday, November 4, at 8 p.m. at The Ark in Ann Arbor, celebrating the release of her fourth album, “Bona Fide.” The music blends jazz, R&B, and rock influences.
Judy Banker, a longtime figure in southeast Michigan music, performed her newest album “Bona Fide” in full along with favorites from earlier records at The Ark. Supported by musicians including David Roof and John Sperendi, she showcased songs featuring melodic and poetic songwriting with fresh arrangements. Besides the music, Judy offered her nature photography for sale, with part of the proceeds benefiting the Michigan League of Conservation Voters. Ann Arbor songwriter Annie Bacon opened the show.
