Voices: King Sophia & Dani Darling

King Sophia holds a classical cello degree but is also a vocalist, electric guitarist, songwriter, and bandleader, playing Neo-Soul Art Music that crosses jazz, hip hop, and more. Dani Darling from Ann Arbor works in alternative soul, mixing classic R&B, jazz, and chillwave in her original, often cosmic-tinged songs. The Voices series at The Ark highlights Michigan BIPOC artists and expands their audience with shows featuring interviews and musical breaks, connecting performers closely with the crowd.
