Cirque du Soleil's first holiday show, ‘Twas The Night Before…, plays Detroit's Fox Theatre (2211 Woodward Avenue) on Thursday, December 17, 2026, at 7:30 p.m.. Think hair suspension, hoop diving and reinvented Christmas favorites.
Cirque du Soleil's first holiday show takes its cue from Clement Clarke Moore's classic poem “A Visit from Saint Nicholas,” following a jaded young girl who rediscovers the magic of the season. A cast of 26 artists from all over the world delivers a mesmerizing aerial straps duo, daring hoop diving, gravity-defying hair suspension and high-energy dancing, set to reinvented Christmas favorites.
It was created especially for families, whether you're 5, 50 or 95. Due to popular demand, Cirque returns to Detroit for 17 shows at the Fox Theatre as part of the 2026-27 Fox Theatre Series. The Fox is at 2211 Woodward Avenue. More at cirquedusoleil.com/twas-the-night-before.
