Hoods Uncloaked: A Futuristic Reimagining of Robin Hood
You could see Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit’s futuristic take on Robin Hood on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at 2 p.m. at Detroit Film Theater. It followed siblings Robin and Hood navigating a city divided by class and surveillance to reclaim power for the people.
The classic Robin Hood story took place in a future Detroit controlled by corporate power and strict social zones in Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit’s production. Guided by future griots, the siblings Robin and Hood uncovered a system designed to keep resources away from people and challenged it to bring power back to the community. The play combined sci-fi elements with social justice themes to explore inequality and truth.
