Dokken & Lynch Mob Reunion Tour: melodic hard rock at Flint's Capitol Theatre
Eighties hard rock, turned all the way up: the Dokken & Lynch Mob Reunion Tour hits the Capitol Theatre, 140 E. 2nd St. in Flint, on Saturday, November 21, 2026, at 8 p.m.. Dokken songs like “Alone Again,” “Just Got Lucky” and “Heaven Sent” are still counted among the genre's finest.
Dokken exploded out of the Los Angeles heavy metal scene in the early 1980s. Their debut album, with “Breaking the Chains” as its title track, kicked off years as the dominant creative and commercial force in melodic hard rock: Tooth and Nail, Under Lock and Key and Back for the Attack all went multi-platinum, and “Alone Again,” “Just Got Lucky,” “Burning Like a Flame” and “Heaven Sent” are still regarded among the genre's finest.
The band shared stages with AC/DC, Metallica, Aerosmith, Judas Priest, Van Halen, Kiss, Scorpions and Bon Jovi, and in 1988 played to more than 500,000 fans in just five weeks. They split at their peak in 1989, then came back as the original lineup for 1995's Dysfunctional, which sold 450,000 copies. The Capitol Theatre is at 140 East 2nd Street, Flint.
