My Daddy is Haunted!
Planet Ant Theatre's original horror comedy My Daddy is Haunted! plays a special Halloween show on Saturday, October 31, at 8 p.m. at the Ant Hall in Hamtramck. It's a haunted-castle family vacation where dear old dad starts acting very strange.
The Maplesquatch family heads to an ancient Eastern European castle for a getaway. The castle has sat dormant for 164 years, ever since the evil warlock Sterling Mandrake was burned alive there. Soon something starts happening to Dad. Is that painting alive? Where are all these bugs coming from? Think Hammer Horror meets National Lampoon's Vacation.
Written and directed by Scott Sanford, this one-act runs about 70 minutes with no intermission. The cast includes Philip Digby, Alexandra Van Ryn, Freda Monroe, Amanda Gonzalez and more. The October 31 show is the run's special Halloween performance.
