Kelly Carey: A Night at the Movies
Kelly Carey, a Grand Rapids native and powerhouse vocalist, performed a night of movie soundtrack classics on Friday, September 15, at 7 p.m. in Muskegon's Frau Lounge. This was the first event in the Frauenthal Center’s Spotlight Series, featuring cocktails and cabaret singers.
With over two decades of experience, Kelly Carey has appeared in musical theater, concerts, cabarets, and starred on Celebrity and Norwegian cruise lines. She shifted from stage to screen with this concert celebrating classic movie songs, recalling moments like Tom Cruise dancing in his underwear or Judy Garland singing to her dog. The Frau Lounge opened 30 minutes before the show with cocktails and cabaret performances to set the mood.
