Epic Proportions at Muskegon Civic Theatre
Epic Proportions ran from October 11 to 26 at the Beardsley Theater in Muskegon. It’s a wild comedy about two brothers caught up in a massive biblical movie shoot, where the chaos quickly escalates.
Set in the 1930s, Epic Proportions follows brothers Benny and Phil as they become extras in a huge biblical epic, Exeunt Omnes, filmed in the Arizona desert. Things spiral fast: Phil ends up directing, Benny stars in the movie, and both fall for Louise, the assistant director managing the extras. Expect gladiator fights, the Ten Plagues, and a ‘cast of thousands’ played by just four actors. Muskegon Civic Theatre is known for vibrant, community-oriented shows and educational programs across all ages. This performance touches on mature themes.
