MCT Performing Arts School – Emma! A Pop Musical
MCT Performing Arts School staged “Emma! A Pop Musical” on Friday, November 7 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, November 8 at 5 p.m. at the Beardsley Theater in Muskegon. This is a fresh retelling of Jane Austen’s classic with hits from iconic girl groups and female singers.
Emma, a senior at Highbury Prep, is convinced she knows best about her classmates’ love lives and is on a mission to find the perfect boyfriend for shy sophomore Harriet by the school year’s end. But will Emma’s nonstop matchmaking get in the way of her own happiness? Based on Jane Austen’s classic novel, the musical sparkles with hit songs from legendary girl groups and iconic female singers ranging from The Supremes to Katy Perry. Girl power has never sounded this good!
