After the Rainbow Room closed, its East 8 Mile space carried on as the Birdcage, another show bar. Like its predecessor, it had drag pageant titles of its own, including Miss Birdcage and Miss Amateur Birdcage, which live on in the Our Community Roots archive. The Birdcage closed in 2013.
