The Detroit Underground Railroad Historical Society operates out of Second Baptist Church, Michigan's oldest Black congregation, leading lecture tours of the Croghan Street Station, one of the few documented Underground Railroad safe-house basements still standing in Detroit. Tours are by appointment only for groups of five or more, starting at 10:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, with limited Sunday access reserved for worship service attendees. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for kids under thirteen.

How to book and where to meet
Book ahead through the online form with your group name and size; you need at least five people. Tours start at 10:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. Sunday access is only for people attending the worship service.
