Eastern Market
Market sheds, growers, murals, and one of Detroit’s most vivid neighborhood experiences.
01 / The story of this place
Make time for these
Eastern Market is both a market and a neighborhood. Historic sheds sit among food businesses, restaurants, shops, and public art. Saturday market activity offers a particularly lively encounter with local life, while individual businesses operate on their own schedules during the week. Murals and industrial buildings make the area worth exploring even when shopping is not the main purpose.
