Make time for these

Ferndale's Radio City opened in February 1937 as a 1,000-seat Art Deco neighborhood house, built by Johnson Construction Co. It belonged to the RKO circuit, alongside the RKO Downtown, the former Oriental, and the RKO Uptown. By 1941 the Schulte chain was running it. Suburban Detroit Theatres remodeled it in 1964. It had closed by the early 1970s and has since been demolished.

Plan your visit

The Radio City closed by the early 1970s and was torn down, so there's nothing left to see on Woodward. For a movie night, pick one of the open cinemas in our guide.
