01 / The story of this place

Make time for these

Bart Ferko opened The Dance Scene in 1976 behind the Shopper's Mall, and longtime instructor Anna Sobiechart now leads it. On Saturdays a 7pm beginner salsa drop-in class is followed at 8pm by an open dance party mixing ballroom, Latin, swing, hustle and nightclub music. Weeknights bring six-week courses in ballroom, Latin and line dancing.
