Halloween 2026 falls on a Saturday, so the whole weekend is Halloween, from Friday, October 30 to Sunday, November 1. Here are 70 Halloween events in Detroit and Metro Detroit: haunted houses and hayrides, trunk-or-treats and trick-or-treating, costume parties, horror classics on the big screen and, exactly 100 years on, the Houdini centenary: Harry Houdini died in Detroit on Halloween 1926. We pull them from the organizers’ own calendars and refresh the list every 15 minutes.
Detroit Symphony Orchestra throws a family-friendly Halloween concert on Saturday, October 31, at 11 a.m. at Orchestra Hall in Detroit. Expect spooky classical favorites and a kids’ costume contest; free activities run 9:30–11 a.m., and tickets are $21–$42.
